4. Xaverian Brothers (Westwood)

Head coach: Allan Forano

Former defensive coordinator Allan Forano takes over for Charles Stevenson as the Class 1 runner up return a ton of defensive depth, including senior safety Brian Abraham.

The Hawks lost defensive end Cal Flanders to graduation, but John O'Connell should fill that void.
Offensively, Ike Irabor is someone to watch at running back. He should have room to roam behind a line that includes Lucas Ferraro.

5. King Philip Regional (Wrentham)
2016 record: 12-0
Head coach: Ryan Terio

The Class 1A champions enter 2017 with quarterback Brendan Lydon ready for his senior season. He's joined in the backfield by running back Shane Frommer and Aidan Bender. Wideout Andrew Dittrich and tight end Jack Piller help comprise a potent offense.

Defensively, Frommer should be stout at linebacker along with Bender and Jack Webster.
