Sullivan wins going away against Cumberland

Recap: Sullivan Redskins vs. Cumberland Pirates

On Tuesday, Sullivan got the win against Cumberland by a conclusive 52-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sullivan.

Despite the defeat, Cumberland saw an underclassman step up: Zack Harmon scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Cameron Roedl, who scored six points.

Cumberland struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.

Sullivan is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Cumberland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sullivan will take on Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 308 points over their last five contests. As for Cumberland, they will head out on the road to take on Unity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland is facing Unity Christian at the right time seeing as Unity Christian is stuck on a 23-game losing streak.
