Volleyball Recap: Three Rivers Falls Despite Big Games from Leah Kane and Peyton Roberts

Three Rivers's tournament run continued when they took on Hamilton on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Hawkeyes by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Three Rivers sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 19-25, 15-8.

Three Rivers' loss came despite strong showings from Peyton Roberts and Leah Kane. Roberts had ten digs and two assists, while Kane had nine digs and two assists. Abigail Pettit also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Three Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 16-9-3. As for Hamilton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7-1 record this season.

Three Rivers will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hamilton, they will be playing at home against Unity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
