Baseball Recap: Eagle Rock Comes Up Short

Eagle Rock played against Jefferson on Tuesday and lost via forfeit.

Eagle Rock got a good showing from Odin Tuntland, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Tuntland hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March.

On the hitting side, Jake Sugi was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Eagle Rock is 4-1 when Sugi posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-12 otherwise.

Eagle Rock is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13. As for Jefferson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Eagle Rock will square off against Triumph Charter at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
