Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson vs. Lake County

The Jefferson Saints will head out on the road to square off against the Lake County Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 2.

Jefferson fell victim to Arvada and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Lake County was not quite Alameda's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lake County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-2 record this season.

Jefferson came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
