Basketball Recap: Manila Comes Up Short

Manila was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rector Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lions have suffered since December 13, 2024.

Manila's record now sits at 7-14. As for Rector, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Coming up, Manila will square off against Sloan-Hendrix at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rector, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars duke it out with the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
