Rio Rancho is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Piedra Vista, who was ranked tenth at the time (Rio Rancho was ranked second). The Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers on Friday, sneaking past 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for the Rams as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cleveland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Volcano Vista 8-7. The Storm haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Rio Rancho's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cleveland, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Rio Rancho couldn't quite get it done against Cleveland when the teams last played back in March as they fell 8-3. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
