Basketball Recap: Jenkins Comes Up Short

Jenkins lost to Beach back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors took a hard 61-46 fall against the Bulldogs. The Warriors were down 43-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayce Jenkins, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Jenkins a new career-high. Jordan Newton was another key player, shooting 75% from the field en route to 12 points and four steals.

Jenkins' loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Jenkins will challenge Liberty County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beach, they will square off against Windsor Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 54.3 points per game this season.
