Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Touchet last Saturday, Liberty Christian came back down to earth. The Liberty Christian Patriots were outmatched by the Sunnyside Christian Knights and fell 42-13. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Liberty Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Sunnyside Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Yakama Nation Tribal at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Yakama Nation Tribal will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Liberty Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sunnyside Christian, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Prescott at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sunnyside Christian's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Prescott's offense will have their work cut out for them.
