Football Recap: Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton and St. Thomas More squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Mt. Vernon/Plankinton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 31-8. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost three in a row.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for St. Thomas More, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Thomas More, they will face off against Clark/Willow Lake on Friday. The Cavaliers will need to watch out since the Cyclones have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
