West Davidson had won six straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 15-8 to make it seven. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Providence Grove Patriots 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Dragons: when they faced off against the Patriots back in March, they had to take a 7-6 loss.

As for Providence Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since March 18, 2025.

For Providence Grove's part, Trevor Kirkman was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Kirkman has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Colin Duvall made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Andrew Thomas was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

As of now, neither West Davidson nor Providence Grove have any future games scheduled.
