Softball Recap: Robertsdale Takes a Loss

Robertsdale easily dispatched Blacksher on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Golden Bears fell just short of the Bryant Hurricanes by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Golden Bears haven't had much luck with the Hurricanes recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ashton Mckey spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Robertsdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kahlen Morgan, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Robertsdale's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Bryant, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-20.

Robertsdale has already played their next matchup (against Foley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bryant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Davidson on the 14th.
