Basketball Recap: Sulphur Bluff Comes Up Short

Sulphur Bluff lost against Avinger back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sulphur Bluff Bears took a 55-40 bruising from the Avinger Indians.

Sulphur Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Avinger, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sulphur Bluff has already played their next match (against Bloomburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Avinger will venture away from home to square off against Saltillo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Saltillo will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Avinger surely won't give up without a fight.
