Soccer Recap: Eastlake Comes Up Short

Eastlake and Point Loma squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Eastlake had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Point Loma Pointers by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 267th in California, while the Pointers are ranked 132nd in California).

Eastlake's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Point Loma, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Eastlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Point Loma, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against San Dieguito Academy on the 26th.
