Basketball Recap: Khan Lab Comes Up Short

Khan Lab was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 50-42 to the Apostles Lutheran Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-39 on January 9th.

Apostles Lutheran had a senior duo take command as Tommy Ly went 12-for-20 on his way to 26 points and five steals and Aiden Kwak dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ly has scored all season. Khoi Pham also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Khan Lab's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Apostles Lutheran, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Coming up, Khan Lab will head out on the road to square off against Calvary Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apostles Lutheran, they will welcome Waldorf at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
