Volleyball Game Preview: Gilbert Christian Knights vs. Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles

Gilbert Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bourgade Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Gilbert Christian is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Scottsdale Christian Academy just ended the team's three-match winning streak last Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Eagles.

While Gilbert Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 15-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Bourgade Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat San Tan Foothills on Monday and fell 1-0.

Bourgade Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Gilbert Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 22-6.

Gilbert Christian took their victory against Bourgade Catholic in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
