Cooper came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 52-47 W against the Como-Pickton Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-46 on January 6th.

Leading Cooper to victory were Kelci Sonntag and Marilynn Wilkerson. Sonntag posted 17 points and seven boards, while Wilkerson dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Wilkerson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 55% in the last six games she's played. Laney Trapp was another key player, putting up five points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.

Cooper's record is now 12-15. As for Como-Pickton, they moved to 15-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Cooper wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-15 win against Yantis on the 31st. As for Como-Pickton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cumby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
