Volleyball Game Preview: Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks vs. Valley Central Vikings

Newburgh Free Academy is 0-5 against Valley Central since September of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Goldbacks are taking a road trip to take on the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Newburgh Free Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Newburgh Free Academy will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Pine Bush, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Goldbacks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bushmen on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Valley Central hadn't done well against Monroe-Woodbury recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 3-0 win.

Newburgh Free Academy's record is now 9-3. As for Valley Central, their record now sits at 10-2.
