Softball Game Preview: Greeneview Rams vs. Clinton-Massie Falcons

The Greeneview Rams will head out to take on the Clinton-Massie Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greeneview will be strutting in after a victory while Clinton-Massie will be coming in after a defeat.

Clinton-Massie will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Greeneview extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Rams put the hurt on Catholic Central with a sharp 11-1 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Bella Sutton was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 contests.

Meanwhile, Clinton-Massie suffered their biggest loss since April 9, 2025 on Monday. They lost 15-7 to New Richmond. The Falcons have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Izzy Penewit and Alyssa Sandlin did some serious damage despite the final result: Penewit went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double, while Sandlin went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Abbie Baker (Ab.), who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Greeneview's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Clinton-Massie, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Greeneview has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .494. However, it's not like Clinton-Massie struggles in that department as they've averaged .443. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Greeneview got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 against Clinton-Massie by a conclusive 15-5 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
