Volleyball Recap: Fayette Ware Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Fayette Ware faced off against Lakeland Preparatory on Monday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost eight in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-6, 25-10.

Among those leading the charge was Ella Burd, who had 12 digs and three aces.

Fayette Ware now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lakeland Preparatory, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.

Coming up, Fayette Ware will face off against Ripley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they will challenge Bolton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
