Volleyball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Gets the Win

Rushford-Peterson won the last time they faced Houston and things went their way on Monday too. The Trojans came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

In the three sets Rushford-Peterson was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-10, 25-13, 25-15.

McKenna Smith was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs. Those eight digs gave her a new career-high.

Rushford-Peterson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Houston still got an impressive performance from Olivia Yohe, who had seven digs and two aces. Emmie Melbo was another key player, getting 21 digs and two aces.

Rushford-Peterson's record is now 10-2. As for Houston, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Rushford-Peterson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Plainview-Elgin-Millville on the 7th. As for Houston, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Spring Grove on the 7th.
