Baseball Recap: Centaurus Find Success

Centaurus lost to Niwot back in June of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Warriors came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 4-1.

Zack Young made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season.

Centaurus' win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Niwot, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Centaurus will head out on the road to take on Northglenn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Niwot, they will host Mead at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
