Softball Game Preview: Patrick Henry Rebels vs. Holston Cavaliers

The Patrick Henry Rebels will take on the Holston Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Patrick Henry will be strutting in after a victory while Holston will be coming in after a defeat.

Patrick Henry took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Northwood a 10-0 shutout. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Holston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 17-0 to Rural Retreat. That's two games in a row now that the Cavaliers have lost by exactly 17 runs.

Holston saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amber Rolen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Patrick Henry's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Holston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Patrick Henry was able to grind out a solid win over Holston when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 11-8. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
