Baseball Recap: Eleva-Strum Takes a Loss

Eleva-Strum blew Pepin/Alma out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Pepin/Alma got their revenge. The Cardinals fell just short of Pepin/Alma by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cardinals have suffered since May 14, 2024.

Graeden Zwiefelhofer and Connor Schiefelbein stepped up to the plate in a big way. Zwiefelhofer went 2-for-3 with two runs, while Schiefelbein got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Titan Miller, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Eleva-Strum has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Pepin/Alma, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eleva-Strum is set to face off against their familiar foe Whitehall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pepin/Alma will take on rival Alma Center Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th.
