Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Vardaman Rams, falling 5-0. If Independence were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to Vardaman when the teams met back in January of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Vardaman, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Vardaman has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Shannon on the 19th. Hopefully Independence paid attention to the Rams' contest: the next time they hit the pitch , they'll take on the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
