Basketball Recap: Barr-Reeve Takes a Loss

Barr-Reeve was the 49-38 winner over Vincennes Lincoln when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Barr-Reeve Vikings took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vincennes Lincoln Alices on Saturday. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Defeat or not, Barr-Reeve got some senior leadership from Landon Miller and Seth Wagler. Miller posted six points and six boards, while Wagler earned eight points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Korben Boyd, who put up five points.

Barr-Reeve now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Vincennes Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barr-Reeve will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastern Greene at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they will welcome Evansville Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th.
