Volleyball Recap: Elk Mound Comes Up Short

Elk Mound had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloomer Blackhawks on Tuesday. The Mounders haven't had much luck with the Blackhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Bloomer has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Elk Mound will take on Clayton at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Bloomer, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against St. Croix Falls on the 26th.
