Softball Recap: Sotomayor Has No Trouble Against Elizabeth

Sotomayor won the last time they faced Elizabeth and things went their way on Friday too. The Wolves blew past the Bulldogs 22-5. Considering the Wolves have won six matchups by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Sotomayor and bumps their season record up to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Elizabeth, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Coming up, Sotomayor will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Torres at 3:00 p.m. The Toros have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.09 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Elizabeth, they are taking a road trip to square off against Maywood Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Nighthawks have now posted at least ten runs in their last six games.
