Baseball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Northwest's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Kirkwood Pioneers on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Northwest and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Kirkwood, their record is now 8-2.

Coming up, Northwest will venture away from home to take on Seckman at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kirkwood, they will welcome Parkway South at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
