Soccer Recap: Wrightstown Comes Up Short

If Wrightstown was riding high fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Denmark on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Seymour Thunder on Friday, falling 5-0. Wrightstown were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Seymour apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Wrightstown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Seymour, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wrightstown will square off against Amherst at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seymour, they will challenge Marinette at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Seymour will be up against Marinette's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.67 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
