Reedy came tearing into Friday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Newman Smith Trojans a 16-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-0 back in March.

Addison Daudelin looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Reedy let Natalie Deen and Mady Kulp run wild. Deen went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Kulp went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Lau, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Reedy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They are 10-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Reedy pushed their record up to 15-9 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Newman Smith, they are on a 35-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.
