Baseball Recap: Humphreys County Comes Up Short

Humphreys County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 20-5 to the Clarksdale Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-5 on Saturday.

Humphreys County's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Clarksdale, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Humphreys County will square off against South Delta at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clarksdale, they will venture away from home to take on Rosa Fort at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
