Corvallis has gone a perfect 10-0 against Crescent Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spartans will venture away from home to square off against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Corvallis has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Wednesday, Corvallis came up short against Hood River Valley and fell 17-12. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Crescent Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Sandy, falling 15-3.

Abby Kessler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Corvallis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Crescent Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Corvallis has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Crescent Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .495. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Corvallis' way against Crescent Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Corvallis made off with a 15-8 victory. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
