Demopolis has gone a perfect 7-0 against Shelby County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will welcome the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Demopolis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Shelby County likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Demopolis got the win against Aliceville by a conclusive 34-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 229th).

A big part of Demopolis' win came down to the chemistry between Colton Tucker and his top target Fred Aldridge. Tucker threw for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 passes while Aldridge picked up 121 receiving yards and two TDs.

Meanwhile, Shelby County played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of St. Clair County. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Demopolis now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Shelby County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Demopolis against Shelby County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-8 victory. In that game, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
