Softball Recap: Lenape Valley Patriots vs. High Point Wildcats

Lenape Valley extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-16. They came up short against the High Point Wildcats, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

As for High Point, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

For High Point's part, Tori Meyers made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. In other batting news, High Point let Karli Matthews and Journey Lain run wild.
