Volleyball Game Preview: Palm Harbor University Hurricanes vs. Newsome Wolves + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes and the Newsome Wolves will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Palm Harbor University heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Strawberry Crest. The Hurricanes' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Palm Harbor University's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Leah Crockett, who had 11 digs and three aces, and Isabela Delanoy, who had 14 digs and four aces. Crockett is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Newsome entered their tilt with Riverview on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Sharks with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Newsome won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22, 25-5.

Newsome's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Palm Harbor University, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.
