Softball Recap: Bedford North Lawrence Wins Going Away Against Barr-Reeve

Bedford North Lawrence had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Barr-Reeve on Tuesday. The Stars were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Vikings. The win continues a trend for the Stars in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

Karsyn Coleman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kendall Graves, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Bella Warren was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bedford North Lawrence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.

Bedford North Lawrence's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Barr-Reeve, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bedford North Lawrence will head out to face off against Jennings County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
