Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Trenton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 5-1 to the Lafayette Hornets on Wednesday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Trenton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brant Bivens, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Trenton's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5. As for Lafayette, the victory was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-2.

As of now, neither Trenton nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
