Recap: Delaware County Christian Knights vs. Mount Calvary Christian Chargers
The third road game was the charm for the Delaware County Christian Knights, as they earned their first road win of the season. They took down Mount Calvary Christian 63-44 on Saturday. That 63-44 margin sets a new team best for Delaware County Christian this season.
Delaware County Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bradford Berwick, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Khamai Orange was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Mount Calvary Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Kopcha, who scored 16 points along with four steals. The matchup was Kopcha's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Masters, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
The win got Delaware County Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Mount Calvary Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.
Delaware County Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nazareth Area at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. As for Mount Calvary Christian, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on New Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st.
