Baseball Recap: Westville Comes Up Short

Westville extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-7. They fell 9-5 to the Glenn Falcons. If the Blackhawks were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Falcons when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ryder Becker was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

As for Glenn, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.

On Glenn's side, Aaron Turnage was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Turnage a new career-high. Mekhi Pulluaim was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westville will host Washington Township at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glenn, they will square off against Jimtown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jimmies have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
