Baseball Recap: Crystal River Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, Crystal River was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chiefland Indians, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since March 5, 2024.

Crystal River let Fabion Pabon and Eli Langston loose on the outfield. Pabon scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Langston scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory got Crystal River back to even at 2-2. As for Chiefland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crystal River will host Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chiefland, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bell at 7:00 p.m.
