Volleyball Recap: Dongola Takes a Loss

Dongola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cobden Appleknockers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Demons of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Dongola ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Dongola's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cobden, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dongola is set to square off against their familiar foe Elverado at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cobden will take on rival Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
