Recap: Maiden Blue Devils vs. Bunker Hill Bears
The Maiden Blue Devils can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Bunker Hill 74-41 at home. Winning may never get old, but Maiden sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Maiden found their leader in underclassman Khiara Culliver, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Culliver has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Willow Bass, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Despite the defeat, Bunker Hill had strong showings from Damireona Burch, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Elianna McClain, who scored six points along with three steals. Burch is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games she's played.
Maiden is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Bunker Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.
Maiden will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bandys at 6:30 p.m. Maiden is on a five-game streak of home wins, Bandys a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Bunker Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge East Burke at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in East Burke's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
