Softball Game Preview: East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans vs. Chittenango Bears

The East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against the Chittenango Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

East Syracuse-Minoa is leaving town to face Chittenango after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Spartans lost 26-2 to Whitesboro on Thursday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Chittenango was able to grind out a solid win over Central Square on Friday, taking the game 7-3.

East Syracuse-Minoa suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Chittenango when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
