Basketball Game Preview: Vista PEAK Prep Bison vs. Denver South Ravens

The Vista PEAK Prep Bison will challenge the Denver South Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vista PEAK Prep will be strutting in after a win while Denver South will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Vista PEAK Prep turned things around against Rangeview on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 61-54.

Meanwhile, Denver South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 75-31 loss at the hands of Northfield. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 35th).

Vista PEAK Prep will have to keep a close watch on Abriella Garcia and Alex Gehring, a pair of players who had a big impact on Denver South's prior game. Garcia posted 11 points and three steals, while Gehring earned seven points.

Denver South's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Vista PEAK Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Vista PEAK Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Denver South in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 60-53. Does Vista PEAK Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Denver South turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
