Baseball Recap: Memphis Comes Up Short

Memphis made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Clarendon, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cyclones fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 12-10 on Tuesday. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Clarendon, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Memphis will face off against Quanah at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.15 runs per game on average), something the Cyclones will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clarendon, they will challenge Floydada at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Whirlwinds have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
