Softball Recap: Syracuse's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Syracuse hadn't done well against Weber recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Titans were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Jazmine Prathan, who went 2-for-3 with four runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Reed, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Syracuse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in nine consecutive contests.

Syracuse moved to 12-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Weber, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Syracuse will square off against Davis at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Darts will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Weber, they will take on Layton at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
