Soccer Game Preview: Minarets vs. Liberty

Minarets hasn't had much luck against Liberty recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home pitch against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Minarets lost 4-1 to Caruthers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Minarets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1219th, while Caruthers are ranked 564th).

Meanwhile, Liberty and Riverdale finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Minarets' loss dropped their record down to 2-12. With that draw, Liberty's record moves to 6-8-8.
