Football Recap: Traverse City Central Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Traverse City Central had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Novi Wildcats 46-3. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established a 30-point advantage.

Isaac Turnwald was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 129 yards and two scores on only eight carries, and also threw for 169 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes. Those 169 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Carter Gle was in the mix too, providing Traverse City Central with two touchdowns.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Traverse City Central will head out to square off against Western at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Novi, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Hartland at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
