Soccer Recap: Western Albemarle Beats William Monroe for Their Fifth Straight Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Western Albemarle had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the William Monroe Dragons. Given Western Albemarle's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while William Monroe are ranked 121st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Western Albemarle hit William Monroe with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Parker Polk, Ronan MacDonald, and Braden Clarke.
